Welcome to the International House of Postcards! This site has been created by students in the University of Michigan's Instructional Project Design course on behalf of The Civics Institute as part of its 2003 global civics initiatives.

The goal of this project is simple enough: to help students around the world share what is unique about their communities. They do this by sending multimedia postcards to students in other places, some as remote as the other side of the globe, some right next door. When a participant receives a postcard, s/he has the option of placing it in his or her postcard album--and, thus, joining others who have selected it in discussion.
